Product Description
The Spectrum Studio Gobo is a moveable acoustic screen which is ideally suited to studio and location recording.
The steel frame is designed to hold up to 2 Spectrum Studio XL Tiles.
You can use a single 25mm XL Studio Tile if the unit will have its back to a wall and 25mm provides sufficient sound absorption for your needs. Contact us if you need help deciding.
With 2 XL tiles fitted the gobo becomes a double sided absorber with the option of inserting a 12mm sheet of ply wood or MDF (not included) for additional sound isolation.
If you need a bass trap configuration you will need a custom XL tile with a bass membrane to be manufactured. This is not expensive but we don’t hold them in stock. Contact us for a portable bass trap price.
The Gobo has 2 sets of feet making it suitable for a wide range of isolation and absorption scenarios. Use the 50mm low level feet when you want to control drums or guitar amps and use the tall feet when working with singers or brass players. You can use the included linking bars to join multiple Gobos together in more permanent set ups.
The standard finish for the steel frame is a hard wearing ‘crackle’ powder coat in black.
The standard Gobo size is:
725mm x 70mm and 1550mm high with the 50mm feet or 1900mm with the larger 400mm feet. Both sets of feet are included in the package.
